3/4/16 Homework
Choose 1 of the Moral/Ethical Dilemmas we discussed in class: (presentation link)
The Trolley Problem
The Innocent Man
The Gunman at the Door
The Fat Man and the Impending Doom
The Nazi Soldier
State your claim.
Example: In the Football Problem, I would choose to save the running back, which would hurt the wide receiver.
State two reasons and back them up with evidence.
Example: I would choose to save the running back because he's my brother. I love my brother, and couldn't live with myself if I let anything happen to him.
I would also choose to save the running back because if I didn't, my mother would be furious with me. I would hate to live the rest of my life with my mother hating me because of a bad choice I made.
State a counterclaim.
Example: I understand how people might want to save the wide receiver - he's the logical choice. But how, in good conscience, could you save him and let your own flesh and blood die? It doesn't make sense.
State a conclusion.
Example: Clearly, I would save the running back, because he's my brother, and because my mother would be furious if I didn't.
You MUST SUBMIT through CANVAS.
